GOOD WORK DONE BY DTTC:
ØFor better troubleshooting demonstration, DTTC/GTL has provided line, shunting, EM, and drum contactor panels along with relay panels.
ØCBC model and pantograph working model (AM-12) were commissioned in the DTTC premises for practical demonstration to trainees.
ØA DJ control circuit with LEDs was developed for better understanding of the circuit.
ØA multi-colour troubleshooting guide on HHP locomotives published by DTTC/GTL was unveiled by Shri Ashwini Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board, in November 2018. HHP locomotive technology differs from conventional ALCO locomotives, and many running staff found it difficult to handle and troubleshoot. DTTC took the initiative to publish this guide with pictorial representation for better understanding by LP/ALP. A total of 5000 copies were published and distributed to all divisions of SCR. The guide has been very helpful to the crew.
ØDTTC/GTL has prepared training videos on various modules in train operations, which were inaugurated by Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, GM/SCR, in December 2018. The same were uploaded on YouTube and received significant appreciation.
ØDTTC/GTL has also prepared in-house multimedia animations on various modules of diesel locomotive systems. These have been supplied to other training centres across Indian Railways to facilitate easy teaching and understanding of complex concepts.
ØApart from catering to the training needs of South Central Railway, DTTC/GTL also caters to foreign railways such as SWR and other organizations like BTPS & UNIRAIL
ØAt any given point in time, a minimum of 100 trainees undergo training in various courses pertaining to diesel and AC locomotive running staff.
ØIn September 2019, GM/SWR awarded an amount of Rs. 50,000/- as a group award in appreciation of the good work done in training SWR trainees.
ØFor the FY 2023–2024, DTTC/GTL earned an amount of Rs. 5,77,138/- for providing training to BTPS under deposit works.
ØFor the FY 2025–2026, DTTC/GTL earned an amount of Rs. 4,87,930/- for providing training to UNIRAIL under deposit works.
ØDTTC/GTL and its hostel received the National Energy Conservation Award, presented by the Hon’ble President of India to GM Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
